J.C.  I wanted to know how things that have happened to me, such as surgeries, have affected you.
C.C.    Well they have affected me in many ways, but I think it has been a good experience to be able to live this, because it has helped me to learn a lot of things, as well as to become a better person.
J.C.  How do you think this can help you. What positive things do you see in all this different obstacles that we have had to face.
C.C.   I think this has made my family united, it has made me be strong, anyways I have suffered a lot during the surgeries, but this has made us come together in order to be able to help my brother get better and overcome everything with our support.
J.C.  Also I wanted to know what has been the worst part of all this, in what has to deal with the health of your brother.
C.C.  Well I cant´ say it has been easy, and I think the worst part has been on two consecutive birthdays, when I was in sixth and seventh grade. When my brother had to go to the hospital because of extreme headaches. In the same day of my Birthdays.
J.C.   I heard he also swallowed a tiny cup of a pen can you tell us about that?
C.C.  Well at first my parents wouldn’t tell me because I was so small that they were scared on how I might take these kinds of things. I still remember I was on my grand mothers house and I picked up the phone and heard that he was at the hospital due to the cup since it went to his lungs, at first a was very scared but then I calmed down since I heard his life was not at risk since the cup even though it was on his lungs, was not obstructing his breathing.
J.C.   Finally one of the last things came that was when I almost cut my three fingers off, do you remember anything about this.
C.C.  Of course well that was no actually a big impact on me since I was not living in Colombia, I was living in Chicago but steel I was really well thinking and suffering, but got calmed when the doctors said everything was going to be O.k. and that his fingers would be able to work perfectly, in the future.
J.C.   At last what did you feel when you saw Oreo the dog biting his finger the one that was affected.
C.C.   Well at first I got scared but then I Couldn’t stop laughing since it wasn’t a great deal cause you had that thing which protected your finger.
J.C. Cristina I became aware you injured your knee again can you tell me a
       Little about this?
C.C.  Well its been really hard for me since it will be a repetition of the injury I suffered in September, two years ago which made me leave soccer out of my life for about one year and six months. I t was really hard for me since soccer is probable the most important activity I do.
J.C.   Can you tell me what happened in that moment? How did you injure it?
C.C.  It was quite sad. I was at Binationals and was the only ninth grader of the whole tam. In the final I was the goalie during the first half of the game, when it was over I changed places with Alejandra Moncaleano. Like 20 minutes after I started I felt my knee crack, fell down and couldn’t run again.
J.C. Cristina how was your recuperation last time?
C.C. I had to do about 3ight months of physical therapy to strengthen my knee which by miracle had pasted again in a natural way after that I  had to do lots of exercise that didn’t have impact involved such as swimming, and elliptic or bike. After all this long period of time I eventually came back to playing soccer.
J.C. What happen now was it in some way different than last time?
C.C. the injury happened in the same way,  I was playing soccer and suddenly my knee cracked. I went to my doctor and he said this time it would be very difficult for the knee to recuperate in a natural way and that the most probable thing was that I would need surgery for it to cure.
J.C. What does this mean?
C.C. This means that It would take much more time to heal, since I would need surgery and for it to be possible we would have to wait for me to stop growing or else we would take the risk, that would involve one of my legs being larger that the other one for life.
J.C.  Can you do any kinds of sports meanwhile? How much time will it take to heal?
C.C. Well according to the best estimates, I would have to wait approximately 2 yeas dealing with while I stop growing and after the surgery,. It will be very hard since I can only do very few sports that don’t involve hard contact which are, swimming, biking, and elliptic.
J.C. How do you feel about all this?
C.C. Honestly at this moment I am really sad and overwhelmed since I already passed through this and I now its very hard, and this time it will be even worse. In this moment I feel overwhelmed by this since soccer is the most important activity I practice.
J.C. Along this period of time, with this knew injury who have been the most important people for you?
C.C. Well its hard to say or to decide who has been more important in each case since some know me better than others.
J.C. Do your best to try and talk to me about it.
C.C. Well the one who has been able to help me the most has been my brother, since he has been through similar experiences so he understands my pain, and is always there for me. After him come my two closest friends which are veronica and Michel even though they don´t understand me they are always there for me. And last but not least the soccer team girls, who have always been there for me
And understand me.
